The ”Depo.Moscow” food court, one of the central facilities of the Lesnaya Depo multifunctional lifestyle quarter, won the international MAPIC Russia Awards 2021 in the category “Best Food & Beverage Retailer”. The award ceremony took place on June 9 at Crocus Expo.
The international MAPIC Russia Awards is awarded to developers of shopping centers and retail chains for their successful contribution to the retail real estate industry in Russia and the CIS.
The “Depo.Moscow” food court is a project unique in its concept and scale, which has established itself as the most important urban location for fans of the Moscow gastronomy, as well as for the whole of Europe.
The food court has over 75 corners offering a variety of restaurants and a farmers’ market with over 60 stalls with produce. DJs perform daily on the open stage installed on the central line of the food court, and at the end of the working week and on the first day of the weekend, there are concerts of famous Russian and international artists. The food court regularly delights its visitors with seasonal menu updates, special offers, food festivals, workshops, and charity events.
At the same time, the architectural ensemble of the Miussky depot, where the food court and restaurants of the Lesnaya Depo gourmet district are located, is an object of cultural heritage, the volume and appearance of which has been restored to its original form with the help of authentic materials.
Vladislav Ilyushaevich Yusupov, representative of the Lesnaya Depo Gourmet District:
“The MAPIC Russia Awards is a special sign of recognition of our project by the expert community. We are proud of this triumph and are glad that the unique work that was carried out at the Depo was highly appreciated by our visitors.
The popularity and recognition of the Depo is the best evidence that our project is the best example of adapting historical buildings and architecture for modern use in Russia and the CIS.”
