For fifteen years, they have been donating 40 hams and 40 turkeys to the shelter to serve over 350 homeless guests from around the country. “It’s a blast getting to go shopping with my wife and daughter and then bring it all into the kitchen. It’s what makes the holiday come alive.”
The other cause that Joseph Giardina believes deeply in is finding more effective treatments for lymphoma, leukemia, and other related cancers. “So many people suffer from these cruel diseases,” he says, reflecting. “It is especially heartbreaking to see children struggle from them. It’s why I became a Board member for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation, led by founder Denise Rich. I wanted to become an advocate for these inspiring cancer patients and do what I can to improve their treatment options.”
